Getting “out there”

I haven’t posted anything recently because I’ve been working on my “platform.”

I’m a little  superstitious, so I won’t go into too many specifics.  I may have an opportunity to do a couple of  presentations in the not-too-distant future. I figure that something about the man I discovered while researching John Bailey’s Civil War experience might prove as fascinating to others as he is to me. Here’s the first slide of the draft presentation.

I’m become my own publicist–writing copy and paying for listings–and  sending copies of the book for (I hope) reviews in a few widely-circulated periodicals.

I’ve also thought of several topics  for Disunion guest-blogs . My next major effort will be to flesh out a couple and submit them to the blog moderator.

Whew!  It takes a lot of work to be a writer:The Book is only part of it!
